Frequently Asked Questions.

We have always outsourced these services, but our volumes are decreasing. Could it be a good time to in-source and control the supply chain ourselves?

No , if anything this is exactly when third-party logistics (3PL) makes sense. As volumes and markets contract or expand, 3PLs allow you to leverage economies of scale and quickly increase your footprint or services; this is something in-house supply chain departments cannot do.

In addition, with an in-house solution, there is a tendency to not invest in systems that give the  supply chain a competitive advantage. 3PL solutions deliver continual investment and competitiveness, with leading solutions for reverse logistics, and courier/transportation management.

We constantly get over-stocks and stores often fight for new devices. How can you help us here?

Through an integration between the Retail Management System and WMS, we help telcos optimize their demand planning through a collaborative planning, fulfilment, and replenishment (CPFR) solution. Using our stock replenishment tools and algorithms, we utilize sell out data, along with inventory and replenishment cycles, to ensure stock replenishment is incredibly efficient and effective. This translates into the right product being in the right stores at the right time.

How could a WMS help improve our operations?

A Warehouse Management Solution gives full visibility, traceability, and control over a warehouse environment. It tracks all warehouse activities and manages inbound and outbound activities such as receiving, order processing and reporting.

A best-in-class WMS tracks serialized inventory across all movements, such as mobile devices, set top boxes, companion products, etc. Dynamic bin locations help staff identify, put away and retrieve stock. In addition, a WMS can manage inventory on a first-in, first-out basis, which is critical to reducing ageing, obsolescence and working capital.
